Jessica Lee Parker is obsessed with the creation and jiggling of motifs into the perfect balance of hyper-colour, rhythm, and repetition.
Her work often involves little sparks of recognition and nostalgia; teasing out the details and shared memories of everyday places and things, translating them, anew.
From initial sketch to final product, Jessica darts between low-fi mark making and hi-tech production, embracing hand drawn shapes and textures, collage, screenprinting, riso printing, and digital textile printing.
Ultimately, her patterns are happiest when doing good. Jessica hopes to continue collaborating with makers who champion ethical production, creating beautiful alternatives to the meaningless and disposable.
