Dan Watts wanted to explore adjusting one's understanding of environment or setting. Perception allows us to see and not see things that are immediately within our reach. He intends to impart, if he can, an altering of that perception and give closure to that reach. Both the composition of frame and song spurs from his fascination with the quality of 'stillness' in art and music from the Baroque period.
