Ellie Waters’ work is concerned with raising awareness of mental illness. It references the body, particularly its deterioration and distortion in the minds of those with an Eating Disorder. Recently she experimented with constructing baby forms out of sugar and carbohydrates to highlight the impact of excessive food restriction on fertility. Ellie has explored similar themes in the past through the use of human hair, horse hair, fabric, sticky tape, plaster and other materials.
