Jourdan Emily Hancock is a cross-disciplinary artist who began her emerging practice in the field of photography. Jourdan’s practice has since expanded into the fields of sculpture, textiles and object manipulation parallel to her photographic process. Drawing from the self, she employs raw skills through the cathartic processes of art therapy, often featuring the body as a commodity in which to question notions ownership, desire, sexuality, gender and the boundaries of self-confession in the public and private spheres.
