Sam Roberts’ work explores how technology can enable all of us to become musicians through an interactive app which simplifies sound creation. Users can manipulate sound nodes by dragging them, cloning them and positioning them in such a way that they can design beats and soundscapes. Audiences can personalise their experience by recording their own voices or sounds through a microphone. These recordings become a shared connection between the electronic software, and the human user and allow users to bring their live environment into the immersive digital world.
