The 12 animals represent each year in the Chinese Zodiac Animal cycle. The work is constructed digitally from a variety of photographed Asian noodles. Sharing the culture of the Chinese Zodiac cycle was nicole’s main intention, while simultaneously connecting the animals with noodles - an Asian staple food. Under the Chinese culture, it is good to share ‘prosperity’, ‘blessings’ and ‘happiness’ with others. The takeaway bags of noodles filled with recipes and information about the zodiac cycle is Nicole’s way of sharing and giving to others.
