Chenxu Jiang sees these works as private cruel diaries.
These portraits are emotional, inviting viewers to find out the hidden pain and physical difficulties endured by women. Through experiencing the works, audiences may have a window through which to examine the relationship between society and individual women with a new perspective. Teeming with enthusiasm Chenxu has tried to use these works as a testament to the pain women are suffering. The big abnormal eyes are the key to understanding these works. Eyes are the window to the soul which in the work become a symbol of hope through dreaming.
