Robert Musgrave’s current artistic practice involves the use of digital and analogue photographic techniques to create narratives and sequences. Within this process he can explore photography’s relationship with myth, memory and symbolism.
Lineage is a way of creating a photographic dialogue between Robert’s late father and himself. It is an exploration of family resemblance, shared history and the part these play the creative process. It raises questions about the way we see the world and what influences our view, as well as the exploring function of the photographic process across different time periods.
