Broc Webster’s work is informed by theories of eternal life. Particularly the notion of rebirth, which regards the process of dying as the becoming of something different to what one once was. Broc’s Honours body of work presents the idea of an ever-present cyclical quality within the natural world, where the continuance of souls extends beyond the body's mortality. To create a sense of timeless historicity, the visual dynamic of his work has evolved to incorporate both painting and set design to suggest a space reminiscent of the museological habitat dioramas of the early twentieth century.
