No Exo

Life has become more urban, planned and designed, and with the introduction of computers, cyberspace and virtual technology alongside this, we are becoming increasingly separated from nature. Because we sense this separation, we bring edited, augmented and simulated versions of nature back into the everyday environment, including physical and virtual spaces.
“All that once was directly lived has become mere representation.”
(Guy Debord 1967)
No Exo combines elements of outdated décor, virtual environments and intermediary zones. Google earth landscapes adorn the walls of this waiting room, located somewhere between the now, then, real and virtual.
