Alex Hirst’s practice consists of mixed media sculpture and installation artworks with a thematic focus on abstraction and nature. She uses a range of different materials both fabricated and natural; these materials contrast and compliment each other aesthetically through soft and organic forms that evoke an untamed energy within her sculptures.
