Lucia Stevens’s animation expresses a culmination of the human body in motion, choreographed to Beethoven’s 'Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92: II. Allegretto'. It began with a constructed video montage of live-action footage of various physical and artistic body movements. The source footage then informed the drawn frames of animated imagery through the tracing technique of rotoscoping. These animated frames employ the colour from the original reference footage to retain traces of reality, yet also contribute to a hyper-real apogee of transitioning body movements to divine status.
