Crossing 1
2014
Intaglio and relief print

Liz Perfect’s work investigates landscape with its complex associations and expressions of different ways and forms of life. She endorses the physicality of her experience and her plein air drawings by using different processes in printmaking. This process achieves a variety of tactile results.
Crossing is the title for Liz’s latest work and refers to work done most recently in Faulconbridge, in the Blue Mountains. The ancient surrounding bush, with its traces of present and past lives existing in harmony with nature, is crossed by the brash and contemporary streetscape which colonisation has brought.
