Terra Incogntia
2014
Plaster, found natural materials, wood
Dimensions variable

As we become increasingly aware of the extent of our impact on the environment, we are being forced to re-adjust not only how we perceive nature and the world around us, but our role within it and what our role may be in the future. Terra Incognita suggests that we are in uncharted territory regarding our global ecological state. The hybrid conglomerations are a speculation of a possible future aesthetics of nature, a prototype of what our encounters with the natural world could become if we continue down this path to terra incognita, the ecological unknown.
