Porcelain, leather, Tasmanian oak
Round vessel plinth (60cm radius) chair (70cm x 71cm x 79cm)

The Remnant Collection is a contemporary object series exploring the frontier of the Changpa Nomadic Pastoral group. The series encapsulates the rituals explored within nomadic life and our associations with memory and time through our engagement with objects within a hunter-gatherer existence. Interior pieces of an arm chair and connecting hand held vessels are all constructed utilizing organic materials and hand making processes through a primitive connection to the land. This not only connects the user to the material but also the maker to the form in which one becomes embedded into the objects themselves.
