Elusive is the exploration into the truth of an image. Due to the nature of how a photograph is captured, it is often considered factual. However, it is not as ‘true’ as one might assume.
Reduced to the mere physical elements of a photograph, Elusive highlights Hannah Moody’s manipulation in the creation of the image - an image that displays nothing concrete. Furthermore the artwork documents nothing except a tangible form of her mental exploration for the truth. A truth that remains elusive.
