Sabah Asif is a major in object design and minor in jewellery and enjoys designing products which serve a purpose. One of the designs the artist is particularly proud of is a mini greenhouse for people in big city apartments.
Sabah’s major project was aimed at hospitalised children in protective isolation. Protective isolation is for children who have a weak immune system, usually because they are recovering from treatment for another illness. Due to risk of cross infection, patients are placed in isolated wards. This project attempts to increasing the amount of interaction, and hence well-being of children in protective isolation.
