Chlamydia in 2011 is the most common STI among young people within Australia. Women aged 15-24 are the most vulnerable to this infection and for this reason Clean Clam focused on targeting girls in high school, using euphemisms and an ‘under the sea’ themed narrative. Richard and Chloe were created to make the safe sex topic more appealing, relatable and less serious. The campaign involves a pamper pack, given to the girls during their safe sex classes at school. Each pack is uniquely screen-printed and acts a present, which includes all necessities to learn and practice safe sex.
